Devon John Aanerud

Aanerud, Devon John of Mesa, AZ, age 37, passed on to meet his beloved grandparents on July 13, 2020. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Vickie Aanerud, and his adoring sister, Brittany Fonte and her family, as well as his own chosen family from ASU and CGI. His life will be celebrated in 2021 in both Mesa, AZ, where he chose to live safeguarded from the Minnesota cold, and in Minneapolis, MN, where the warmth of family protected him always. Devon's charity of choice was Save the Children; please honor his deep kindness and humanity with a donation there in lieu of flowers. His easy charm and ready smile will be sorely missed by all who loved him; may we all appreciate Bill Murray, guitars, taco pizza, Irish punk music and cherry cheesecake pie as faithfully as Devon. And remember, "Somewhere there's a score being kept, so you have an obligation to live life as well as you can..." Bill Murray. Devon followed that motto to the max, living an amazing life in his short stay with us here.
