What a difference a simple change of the wind direction can bring! South tosouthwesterly winds across the southern Plains will bring much warmer air backto the region today. Kansas City, St. Louis, Little Rock, Nashville and Dallasare just a few of the many locations which will have high temperatures at least10 degrees warmer than Tuesday. This will bring temperatures close to normalhigh temperatures for early April, following the recent cold snap which struckthe region earlier this week.As the ridge of high pressure responsible for the warm winds continues tomove to the east, the rising temperatures will follow. So places like Orlando,Jacksonville, Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham will go through a similar 10-degreejump in temperatures from Wednesday into Thursday. Augusta, Ga., will also havewarmer temperatures with plenty of sunshine on Thursday. Highs will be in themiddle 70s, ideal conditions for both the players and the spectators at theOpening Round of the Masters Tournament.
