Poulson, Judi 79, died at her home in Fairmont on September 23, 2021. Two of her three sons were able to be at her bedside holding her hands as she slipped away. Judi Pieser was born December 27, 1941 in Fairmont to Jay and Eleanor (Morris) Pieser. She graduated from Fairmont 1959 then attended the University of Minnesota where she met her first husband, Don Bernstein. They married in 1963 and to that union, three sons were born; Mike, Andy and Ross. Judi and Don divorced in 1989. Several years later, she met and married LeRoy Poulson, a farmer from the Granada area. They shared 24 years together until his passing two years ago. Judi was passionate about world peace, the environment, gun control, social justice, progressive politics, education, conservation and other causes too numerous to mention. She loved bulldogs, nature, all animals and enjoyed watching the birds and deer that entered her yard overlooking Hall Lake. This was also her view when she closed her eyes for the last time, just as she wanted it. Above all else, Judi loved her family and friends. Judi "collected people". There were the "Cliquers", a lifelong group of friends who had tons of fun together for nearly 70 years. There were her local friends from Great Books and Peace Group who would gather frequently over coffee (Coke for Judi) to discuss and solve the world's problems. Judi also loved to travel and hosted numerous foreign exchange students. Judi's love for her three sons was unlimited and unconditional. She was proud of their many accomplishments, atop that list being her grandchildren, Jack, Kara, Anna, Alex and Campbell who she cherished and adored more than words could ever say. They are her legacy and she was so proud of each of them. A life well lived has come to an end here on earth but Judi will live on in the hearts of everyone blessed to know her. She was a wonderful, loving, caring, giving, fun, intelligent, stubborn human being who helped to make the world a better place. May she rest in peace. Judi is survived by her sons, Mike (Kirsten), Andy (Kim) and Ross (Sara); grandchildren, Jack, Kara, Anna, Alex and Campbell; sister, Gail Pieser; numerous cousins and countless friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Joe and Ollie Morris; parents, Eleanor and Jay Pieser; brother, Michael Pieser; and husband, LeRoy Poulson. Due to Covid 19, the family decided to postpone what will be a full- blown celebration of Judi's life until next summer. Stay tuned for details. Memorials preferred to UHD Hospice, Baywood Home Care or any charity related to the aforementioned causes that Judi strongly supported. Hodroff-Epstein 612-871-1234 hodroffepstein.com
