As unseasonably cold air has overtaken much of the nation, one warm spotremains... Florida. Temperatures on Wednesday across the state soared into the70s and 80s as other parts of the nation faced record snow and frigidtemperatures. One place where temperatures soared was West Palm Beach which tied an all-timeDecember record with a temperature of 90 degrees. The record has stood since1941.
Today, temperatures will cool slightly, but the state will once again recordsome of the warmest temperatures in the country thanks to warm air funnelednorthward from the tropics.
