Southern California and the Desert Southwest will begin a warming trend onTuesday as the next big Pacific storm aims for the Northwest.Partial sunshine will spread from Los Angeles and San Diego east to Las Vegas,Phoenix and Tucson.

Most of the area on Tuesday will have highs in the upper 50s to as high as theupper 60s, or within a few degrees of the normal highs for the date.

Las Vegas will lag somewhat with a high of about 50 F on Tuesday.

These areas will have near to somewhat above-normal temperatures, with no rainin sight, by late week.

Meanwhile, the leading edge of rain will cross northern California Tuesday,bringing a few showers between the Bay Area and Sacramento. Any steady, wettingrain will stay farther north.
