A suspect was arrested Friday evening in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a residence several hours earlier in the northwest metro city of Robbinsdale.
Police were called to the residence at N. 35th and Grimes avenues to do a welfare check at 9:15 a.m. Friday. Inside they found the woman's body. "The death appears to be a homicide and does not appear to be random in nature," Robbinsdale Police Chief Patrick Foley said in a news release.
A suspect was arrested in Brooklyn Center about 9 p.m. Friday with help from several law enforcement agencies and has been booked into the Hennepin County jail, Foley said.
An investigation is underway.
