Twins update

The Twins (31-42) ended a season-high five-game winning streak with a 10-7 loss to Cincinnati on Tuesday at Target Field. The Twins' bullpen, which had allowed only four earned runs in 24 innings during the streak, allowed six runs (four earned) in 4⅔ innings on Tuesday. This is the third series of the season between the teams but the first at Target Field. Cleveland won two of three games April 26-28, and the Twins won two of three May 21-23.

Cleveland update

The Indians (40-31), who trail the division-leading White Sox by 2½ games, are coming off a split of a two-game series with the Cubs in Chicago. Already without injured starting pitchers Shane Bieber and Zach Plesac, Cleveland lost starting pitcher Aaron Civale to a sprained finger Monday. Civale, a righthander who leads the majors with 10 victories, is expected to be sidelined four to five weeks.
