A few thunderstorms will pose a severe weather risk into Monday night as theytap into the steamy heat over the middle of the country.The greatest risk for damaging bursts of wind and large hail will be a corridorover southern and eastern Nebraska to Wisconsin including southern Minnesota,northwestern Illinois and much of Iowa.

The at-risk area will span Omaha, Des Moines and Madison, Wis. A strongthunderstorm could also unleash high winds in Chicago and Milwaukee.

On Tuesday into Tuesday night, the same overall weather setup will be favorablefor strong thunderstorms in a belt from the central High Plains east to theMississippi Valley and the southern Great Lakes, or a bit farther southcompared to Monday's.

Damaging winds and isolated large hail will possible in strongest stormserupting from Cleveland and Chicago west to Denver.
