University of Minnesota standouts Damien Wilson, David Cobb and Cedric Thompson were taken inthe fourth and fifth rounds of the NFL draft on Saturday.

Wilson, a linebacker, was taken in the fourth round by the Dallas Cowboys; Cobb, a running back and the team's highest-profile player, was taken by Tennessee with the second pick of the fifth round; Thompson, a safety, was taken by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round.

North Dakota State defensve end Kyle Emanuel was drafted in the fifth round by San Diego.

The 5-foot-11, 229-pound Cobb set a single-season record at Minnesota last year running for 1,626 yards and averaged 5.2 yards per carry with 13 touchdowns. He ran for a career-high 220 yards against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 6, 2014 and had seven 100-yard games last season.

The Titans got to see Cobb up close coaching him with the North squad at the Senior Bowl in late January.

He was named Gophers' MVP, most outstanding offensive player and the team's top running back at the end of last season.

On Friday, Minnesota tight end Maxx Williams was taken in the second round by the Baltimore Ravens.
