Allen, Elaine W. of Edina passed away September 28th. Elaine was first and foremost a Christian who witnessed to others via words and actions throughout her life. An avid nature and animal lover, Elaine followed these interests through decades of involvement in Women's Color Photo Club and as a proud volunteer of the Minnesota Zoo. Jim and Elaine shared a love of travel, spending months every year exploring seven continents and over 30 countries. Another passion of Elaine's was fishing; she was taught to fish at a young age by her father. Jim and Elaine attended Knox Presbyterian Church in South Mpls. A continuous source of joy for Elaine was their cabin in WI, where four generations of family have spend countless hours together. Elaine's passing has left a hole in our hearts, and yet we rejoice that she is free of pain and has gone Home. Survived by her soul mate of 63 years, Neurologist Jim Allen, children Chuck; Cynthia MacLeod (Niall); Clark (Parker), and grandchildren Alison and Scott MacLeod and Stephanie and Brett Allen.
