The Pacific Northwest enjoy a break from steady rain and mountain snow onWednesday. That, however, will quickly come to an end.A new Pacific storm will slam onshore Wednesday night into Thursday. The worstwill target British Columbia, but the storminess will extend into westernWashington and western Oregon. Rain will soak the lower elevations, leading toslow travel along Interstate 5 and flight delays. Substantial snow will createtreacherous conditions through the mountain passes. Gusty winds will also whipthe coastline.

This storminess for the Pacific Northwest will not be brief. A new storm willkeep rain and mountain snow falling over the Pacific Northwest Thursday nightinto Friday. The wet and wintry weather will also press over the interior andinto central California on Friday.
