The coastal Northeast will continue to be battered today from a nor'easterthat will batter the shore with high wind and waves.Areas from Nova Scotia to the Jersey Shore will face possible breach erosionand tidal flooding as this storm continues to push northeastward.

Waves across the region will rise to 15-20 feet, while winds near the coastwill gust up to 40 mph. Over the open water, winds will be capable of reaching60 mph.

This storms timing is also near the New Moon, which will lead to unusually hightides and coastal flooding.

As the storm pushes away from southern areas today, winds and waves will beginto subside.
