A storm that had already dropped up to 9 inches in Down East Maine throughearly Wednesday morning could bring snow totals up to a foot by the end of theday. More cold pouring into the region and the additional snow will make traveldifficult through northeastern parts of Maine.The system is spinning over the Gulf of Maine and will head just east of NovaScotia today. On the backside of the storm, the heaviest snow will fall overeastern New Brunswick, including in Fredericton, and interior portions of NovaScotia.

As the storm races farther north and east overnight, snow will also brusheastern Newfoundland, Canada.
