Heavy snow will continue to stream southward and southeastward off the GreatLakes in bands and narrow streaks through early this week.The highest additional snowfall by Monday evening will take place south of LakeErie along the hills from east of Cleveland to south of Buffalo, N.Y.

Additional accumulations of 3-6 inches will occur in this corridor, which iscrossed by busy interstate highway I-90. In Cleveland and Buffalo, loweramounts of 1-3 inches are expected.

New snowfall will also pile up 3-6 inches deep in snow belts between South Bendand Gary, Ind., into southwestern Michigan. Here, snow bands will intersecthighways I-80/90 and I-94.

Lake Ontario will feed another 3-6 inches of snow into snow belts north andnorthwest of Syracuse to near Rochester, N.Y. Stretches of highways I-90 andI-81 are located here.

Motorists along the aforenamed highways and other area roadways should preparefor hazardous winter driving with drastic shifts in visibility and roadcondition over short distances. In heavy bands, falling and blowing snow willsharply lower visibility.
