A storm dropping snow over the Intermountain on Wednesday and Thursday willshift east of the southern Rockies on Thursday night and Friday. In so doing,it will trigger heavy wet snow east of the Rockies along the I-25 corridor fromsoutheastern Wyoming to south-central Colorado.In Denver, heavy wet snow whipped by strong winds will pile up 8-12 inchesdeep through Friday evening. Snowfall will be twice as high along the nearbyfoothills.

The heavy wet snow will cling to trees and powerlines triggering electricalblackouts. Snow and blowing snow will make for very tough driving and roadclosures will be possible.
