The Gophers men and women each placed third at the Big Ten outdoor track and field championships Sunday in Champaign, Ill.

Keon Benjamin became the Gophers' second Big Ten 100-meter champion when he won in 10.26 seconds, and set a school record of 20.62 in placing third in the 200.

Abigail Schaaffe posted the second-fastest time (57.25) in Gophers history in winning the women's 400 hurdles, and anchored the 1,600 relay team to third place in 3:33.44.

The Gophers women, with 106 points, finished 11 points behind champion Ohio State. Indiana (109) was second. Iowa (127.5) won the men's crown, with Michigan (94.5) second and Minnesota (88.33) third.
