Heavy rainfall and strong storms will develop over the Middle East today andFriday as a strong piece of energy pushes through the region. This system,currently over Africa, will move northward and strengthen over south-centralSaudi Arabia tonight. Through Friday night, the storms will move into southernIran.Drenching rainfall will create flash flooding across the region. Also,strong thunderstorms contained within the system could create gusty winds. Mostof these areas will begin to dry out again for the weekend.
