It's been ages since Southern California has had any appreciable rainfall. Onehas to look all the way back to December 12th to find the last time there wasmore than a quarter of an inch of rain in Los Angeles.Storms were impacting the northern part of California back in December, but notso anymore. In San Francisco, there hasn't been a drop of rain since the monthbegan, which is somewhat unusual.

In any case, the storm track will shift southward next week, and rain isexpected to get into central and southern portions of the state. This will notbe a major storm for the region, but at least it's something.

The Pacific Northwest is going to remain wet like it has been for the past 10days.
