Damp weather will linger in the mid-Atlantic today as a system presseseastward offshore. Meanwhile, high pressure will build into the Southeast,clearing the clouds from the sky and bringing pleasant conditions. This followsa day featuring violent thunderstorms from North Carolina into the FloridaPanhandle.Conditions will remain nice and dry, as well as turning warmer in theSoutheast over the next few days. By Friday, high temperatures will inch towardthe 70-degree mark as far north as the Ohio River Valley and the DelmarvaPeninsula. However, another round of thunderstorms will get started in theMississippi Valley early this weekend.
