A woman was killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash in north Minneapolis, authorities said.

Officers responded to the intersection of N. Washington and Dowling avenues, just east of Interstate 94, around 9 p.m. Police say that a northbound sedan with a female driver and a male passenger struck a southbound Jeep as the sedan turned left onto Dowling off of Washington.

The Jeep's driver, who was alone in the car, died at the scene, said MPD spokeswoman Sgt. Darcy Horn.

The other vehicle stopped and both parties are cooperating with authorities. Neither was arrested.

Horn said it's too soon to pinpoint a clear cause, but speed will be examined as a factor.
