The struggling Spurs? Uh, sure

Preview: Believe it or not, the Spurs' home victories over Orlando on Tuesday and New Orleans on Thursday form their first two-game winning streak since they beat Sacramento and Denver on Jan. 28 and 30. Since then, the Spurs are 5-11 while they continue to play without All-Star Kawhi Leonard (quadriceps). … The Wolves are 4-3 since All-Star guard Jimmy Butler was injured last month and have won their past two. … The Wolves have lost 24 of their past 25 games in San Antonio, spanning 14 years.

Players to watch: Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge leads his team in points (22.2 ppg), rebounds (8.3) and minutes played (33.4) and is second in blocked shots per game (1.1). … Wolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns is seven points away from reaching 5,000 in his career. When he gets there, he will join Shaquille O'Neal, Dwight Howard and Chris Bosh as the only players since 1963 to reach 5,000 points and 2,500 rebounds by their 23rd birthday.

Injuries: Wolves F Butler (knee) remains out indefinitely. Spurs F Leonard (quadriceps) is out.
