The Eagan girls' soccer team is peaking, which is a scary proposition for the Wildcats' foes.

The defending Class 2A champs ended the regular season with 10 consecutive victories and head into the postseason with a 13-2-1 record. Their success has been largely due to an offense averaging 3.6 goals per game during the winning streak.

Czaplewski, a senior forward, has been the Wildcats' brightest star on offense. She scored six of Eagan's seven goals as the Wildcats won their last two regular-season games. She scored all four goals in a 4-2 victory over Shakopee and two goals in a 3-2 victory over Lakeville South.

"It's kind of fun," Czaplewski said of her recent hot streak. "My teammates make is a lot easier when they set me up with a perfect ball, and I just have to put it away."

Czaplewski said her 18 goals this year are a career high and reflect a team peaking at the right time.

"This is the most points I've ever had," she said. "It helps that we've developed good chemistry. We're all working hard and getting along so well right now."

LOGAN DANIELS

St. Francis • soccer

The senior forward has 15 goals in his last six games, helping the Saints conclude the regular season by winning five of their last six. Daniels has 31 goals on the season and is the school career record-holder in goals scored with 73.

MICHAEL HOBERG

Blaine • soccer

The Bengals posted a 2-1-1 week with Hoberg, a junior forward, scoring in every game. He had the lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Park Center, four goals in a 7-1 rout of Elk River and a goal each in a tie with Champlin Park and a victory over Spring Lake Park

SARAH JOHNSTON

Orono • soccer

The sophomore has emerged as the leading scorer for the Spartans, who finished the regular season with 11 consecutive shutouts. Last week she scored consecutive overtime goals, lifting Orono to 1-0 victories over Waconia and Blake.

KENZIE LANGDOK

St. Michael-Albertville • soccer

The scoring touch of the senior midfielder has been vital to the success of the Knights, who clinched the Mississippi 8 championship last week. She scored eight goals in her last five games and is tied for fifth in the state with 22 total goals.

TAYLOR LANGE

Waconia • soccer

The junior scored a goal and created on the game-winner in overtime in a 2-1 victory over Mankato West and had two goals and an assist in a 4-1 victory over Breck. She is the first player in team history to score 15 goals in a season.

FISHER MARBERG

Spectrum • football

The sophomore running back carried the ball 24 times for a school-record 314 yards and scored three touchdowns and a two-point conversion as the Sting won their second consecutive game, defeating Minneapolis Edison 52-18.
