Vernona Hazel 'Vernie' Bjorklund

Bjorklund, Vernona "Vernie" Hazel 85 years old, of St. Anthony Village, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2019. Vernie was born on February 15th, 1934 in Clarkfield, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Myrtle Willander, son Brian, sisters, Natalie, Valerie, Maxine and Anita. Vernie loved Jesus and was passionate about sharing her faith with others. She was happiest when she spent time with her children and grandchildren. "Grandma Vernie" was adored by everyone with her warm smile, kind heart and loving soul. Her positive attitude and playful sense of humor was contagious. Vernie is survived by her daughters Pam McDonald (Tony Sr.) and Laura Bjorklund; her grandchildren Christina (Mike) Hara, Tony Jr., McKinley, Allie (Russ) Gervais, Andrew and Linnea; great-grandchildren Jack and Penny; sister Yvonne; nieces, nephews, family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Salem Covenant Church or Catholic Eldercare on Main. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, November 7th with visitation one hour prior at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 Fifth Street NW, New Brighton.
