North St. Paul upset DeLaSalle, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News, 79-74 on Friday night in Minneapolis.

The Polars entered the game unranked and without a win at 0-3. The Islanders were 3-0.

Dajuan Carter scored a game-high 39 points for North St. Paul. The senior shot 50 percent from the field and made 15 free throws. He scored 33 on Tuesday against Cretin-Derham Hall.

Jamison Battle had a double-double for DeLaSalle, scoring 34 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

In other boys' basketball games:

East Ridge 83, Cretin-Derham Hall 71: The Raptors ended a four-game losing streak to the Raiders with double-doubles from Courtney Brown and Ben Carlson. Brown had 25 points and 15 rebounds, Carlson 26 points and 18 rebounds. Jaeden King led the Raiders with 29 points, boosted by seven three-pointers. Gophers coach Richard Pitino and Wisconsin coach Greg Gard were in attendance.

Prior Lake 92, Minnetonka 80: Dawson Garcia scored 31 points to lead the Lakers past the Skippers. In four games, he is averaging 28.2 points per game. Sam Nissen scored 18 points for Prior Lake. Gavin Patton scored 31 points for the Skippers.

Park Center 66, Edina 61: Jack Middleton had a game-high 33 points for the Hornets, but they came up short against the Pirates, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A. Tommy Chatman scored 22 points and Dain Dainja 17 for Park Center.

Rochester John Marshall 85, Winona 70: Matthew Hurt set a school record, scoring 55 points for the Rockets. The 6-9 senior made 14 of 21 shots, including five of seven three-pointers, and 22 free throws. He also had 11 rebounds and seven assists.

Minneapolis North 99, Minneapolis Patrick Henry 60: The Polars had seven players score double digits. Eli Campbell and Nasir El-Amin led the way with 14 points each. Glentrell Carter had 15 for the Patriots.

Eastview 78, Hastings 68: Steven Crowl led the Lightning with 24 points. Ryan Thissen added 14. Sully Levos had 18 to lead the Raiders.

Girls' basketball

St. Croix Lutheran 54, Hastings 53: Laura Hauge hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer for the Crusaders. She finished with 10 points. Clara Avery led St. Croix Lutheran with 18. Mallory Brake had a game-high 23 points for the Raiders.

Henry Sibley 37, Bloomington Jefferson 32: Tori Nelson scored eight points, enough to surpass 2,000 career points and become the first Henry Sibley player to reach that milestone. Jaelyn Orth and Jaylen Rosga scored 12 points to lead the Warriors.

Stillwater 78, Roseville 60: Alexis Pratt and Sara Scalia both scored 24 to lead the Ponies over the Raiders. Jayda Johnston led Roseville with 18.
