Preview: After winning just one of three games on their longest homestand of the season, the Lynx (13-10) travel to Phoenix, where they won 83-72 last month. The Lynx are coming off an 89-65 victory over Indiana at Target Center on Wednesday. The 65 points the Fever scored matched the season-low by an opponent. Phoenix (15-9) opened a four-game homestand on Thursday with an 85-82 loss to Las Vegas. Phoenix, 5-5 in its past 10 games, defeated the Lynx 95-85 at Target Center on June 1 to end a 13-game losing streak to the Lynx. Minnesota has won six consecutive games in Phoenix.

Players to watch: Lynx C Sylvia Fowles scored a season-high 30 points (going 13-for-15 from the field) and grabbed 16 rebounds in the victory over Indiana. G Lindsay Whalen, who left the game Wednesday after a collision, is expected to play. Mercury C Brittney Griner is tied for third in the WNBA scoring (20.6) and sixth in rebounding (7.5). G Diana Taurasi, who scored a season-high 33 points on Thursday, is tied with Griner in scoring (20.6).

Numbers: The Lynx bench contributed a season-high 34 points Wednesday. … Fowles has a league-best 14 double-doubles this season. … Griner had one block Thursday to tie Tammy Sutton-Brown for sixth on the WNBA career list with 555. Fowles, who had three blocks her last game, is fourth all-time with 559 blocked shots.

Injuries: Mercury F Sancho Lyttle (ACL), who was injured June 30, will miss the rest of the season.
