Luke Fairchild scored off a shot pass from Michael North 4:27 into overtime to give Wayzata a 4-3 overtime victory over Class 1A, No. 1 Hermantown at Plymouth Ice Center.

The Trojans scored three unanswered goals in the second, third and overtime periods. Jack Kimlinger scored his second goal of the game to start the comeback with 2 minutes, 33 seconds left in the second period. Hayden Davison scored a power play goal with 6:20 left in the third period to tie the game.

After allowing the game's first goal, the Hawks scored three straight goals over a 3:23 span that began in the first period and carried over into the second. Blake Biondi scored a pair of goals at the end of the first period. Justin Thomas gave the Hawks a two-goal lead 1:28 into the second period.

Fairchild, North and Tommy Bergsland had two assists each and Trevor Wong stopped 27 shots for the Trojans.

Centennial 3, Roseau 2: Henry Bartle broke a 2-2 tie with 7:44 left in the third period to lift the Cougars past the host Rams. Jake Pierson had two assists, Connor Thompson and Scott Nelson had a goal each and Casey Coppersmith had 28 saves for the Cougars. Aaron Huglen had two assists, Hunter McFarlane and Gavin Gunderson scored a goal each and Oliver Lee stopped 25 shots for the Rams.

Chaska 4, Cloquet 0: Justin Bach stopped 35 shots to lead the Hawks past the host Lumberjacks. Shane Lavelle scored two goals and Billy Bronson and Mike Koster had one each for the Hawks.

Girls' hockey

Eden Prairie 1, Benilde-St. Margaret's 1 (OT): Carly Greene made a blocker save on a shorthanded 2-on-1 rush by the Class 2A, No. 5 Eagles with 3.5 seconds left in overtime to preserve the tie for the host Knights. Dani Benson got the scoring started for the Eagles with 1:43 left in the first period. She slid a shot past Greene off a faceoff in the offensive zone at the start of a 5-on-3 power play. Sophie Melsness tied the game for the Knights 1:09 into the second period.

Mound Westonka 4, Fergus Falls 3: Lauren Burris scored her second goal of the game 2:10 left in the third period to give the Class 1A, No.4 Whitehawks the victory over the host Otters. Kailey Niccum and Burris gave the Whitehawks an early 2-0 lead. Amy Johnson cut the deficit in half for the Otters before the first intermission. Hallie Schneider tied the game for the Otters late in the second period. Sydney Hules got the Whitehawks back in front 10:23 into the third period. Ellie Anderson tied the game 1:57 later for the Otters. Taylor Smith stopped 25 shots for the Whitehawks and Jadyn McKeever made 20 saves for the Otters.

North Wright County 8, Chisago Lakes 1: Sydney Lemke scored four goals, including a natural hat trick in the second period, to lead the River Hawks past the host Wildcats. The River Hawks broke the game open with five goals in the second period. Mackenzie Bourgerie had two goals and four assists, Chloe Finnerty had five assists, Brinna Martin had a goal and two assists, Megan Sullivan scored a goal and Anna Larose stopped 32 shots for the River Hawks. Megan Bye scored for the Wildcats.

Boys' basketball

Stillwater 71, Fridley 68: Nate Shikenjanski made a layup and was fouled with 6.4 seconds left give the Ponies the victory over the visiting Tigers. He finished with a team-high 19 points. Isaac Burns led the Tigers with 24 points. Trenton Attwood had 16 points and Ben Recksiedler had 15 for the Ponies. Hassan Kamara had 19 points and Micah Couwenhoven had 13 for the Tigers.

St. Louis Park 57, Burnsville 55: The Orioles built a 19-point halftime lead and held off a second half rally by the host Blaze. Paris Johnson scored 24 points to lead the Orioles and Keyshon Howard had 10. Marcus Shepley scored 16 points to lead the Blaze and Daniel Rosenber had 14.

Girls' basketball

Chaska 58, Shakopee 55: The Hawks overcame a four-point halftime deficit to defeat the visiting Sabers. Kaylee VanEps led the Hawks with 17 points. Jaley Coplin and Isabell West led the Sabers with 17 points each. Destinee Burch had 13 points and Mallory Heyer had 11 for the Hawks. Kelley Brennan had 10 points for the Sabers.

Woodbury 69, Tartan 51: Carley West scored 18 points to lead the Royals past the host Titans. Kendra Ekereke led the Titans with 21 points. Lizzy Dodge and Calie Mundahl had 10 points for the Royals.

Totino-Grace 54, St. Croix Lutheran 48: The Eagles overcame a three-point halftime deficit to defeat the visiting Crusaders. Brianna Glynn led the Eagles with 20 points and Carla Meyer had 10. Luci Hauge led the Crusaders with 14 points.
