Katie Davis slid a shot past Stephanie Garvis with 1 minute, 4 seconds left in overtime to give Class 2A, No. 2 Edina a 4-3 victory over No. 3 Wayzata in girls' hockey at Plymouth Ice Center.

After blocking a point shot by the Trojans, Davis started a 2-on-1 rush with Jane Kuehl. Davis was able to get a shot off while being checked after receiving a pass just inside the Trojans blue line. Davis also scored a power-play goal in the second period.

The Hornets had three one-goal leads in regulation.

CC Bowlby got the scoring started for the Hornets 4:46 into the game. Davis scored her first goal near the midway point of the second period. Tella Jungels gave the Hornets their last lead of regulation 4:59 into the third.

Sloane Matthews, in the first period, Gretchen Branton, in the second, and McKenzie Schindler, in the third, scored for the Trojans. Schindler scored with 3:46 left in regulation to tie the game at 3-all.

Garvis finished with 34 saves for the Trojans, Elli Strittmater had 22 for the Hornets.

Cretin-Derham Hall 5, Stillwater 2: Emily King scored four goals to lead the Raiders past the host Ponies. Bri Willier scored a goal, Ryan Sherry and Makayla Lenz had two assists each and Kaelie Smith had 36 saves for the Raiders. Haley Eder-Zdechlik scored two goals and Sophie Cronk made 23 saves for the Ponies.

Blake 5, Farmington 3: Izzy Daniel scored three goals to lead the Class 2A, No. 1 Bears past the visiting Tigers. Daniel got the Bears on the board with 6:22 left in the first period. She put the Bears ahead for good with 1:56 left in the second period and capped the hat trick with an empty-net goal with 50 seconds left. Madison Tix and Madeline Wethington also scored for the Bears. Jayden Seifert, Cassie Knutson and Bailey Kelley scored for the Tigers. Ryleigh Furlong made 28 saves for the Tigers and Ava Christie had 20 for the Bears.

Boys' hockey

Cretin-Derham Hall 5, Stillwater 4: Chuck Altier scored a power-play goal with 4:35 left in the third period to give the Raiders the victory over the host Ponies. Ronnie Donar and Joe Stengl scored 4:17 apart to give the Ponies a 2-0 lead after the first period. Nick Davison got the Raiders on the board 28 seconds into the second period. Matthew Gleason and Zach Brydges scored 3:38 apart late in the second to give the Raiders their first lead of the game. Ryan Roeske tied the game at 3-3 for the Ponies early in the third. Gleason scored his second goal of the game to put the Raiders back in front 1:25 later. Noah Tussey tied the game for the Ponies 5:38 into the third. Jesse Brown made 31 saves for the Ponies.

St. Michael-Albertville 3, Monticello 2: Adam Flammang scored with 3:08 left in the game to give the Knights the victory over the host Moose. Nate Swenson scored a power-play goal with 50 seconds left in the first period. Luc Laylin extended the lead to 2-0 for the Knights 4:21 into the second. Huntley Hinz got the Moose on the board with 7:58 left in the second. Jeff Henrikson tied the game at 2-2 with 8:49 to play for the Moose. Nash Wilson made 28 saves for the Moose and Blake Marhula had 21 for the Knights.

Boys' basketball

Chaska 82, Cooper 69: Cole Nicholson scored 51 points to break the Hawks' school record for points in a game. The previous record was 48 points — held by three players, Spencer Tollackson, Myles Hanson and Jake White. Cam Vaughn led the Hawks with 21 points.

Prior Lake 89, Eastview 81 (OT): The Class 4A, No. 2 Lakers surrendered a seven-point halftime lead, but pulled away in overtime against the visiting Lightning. Dawson Garcia scored a game-high 44 points for the Lakers. Sam Nissen had 16 points and Robert Jones had 15 for the Lakers. Tate Machacek led the Lightning with 21 points.

Fridley 55, St. Anthony 52: Casey Fisher led the host Tigers with 15 points, Isaac Burns had 13 and Hassan Kamara 11. Tate Nelson led the Huskies with 30.

Mahtomedi 82, Hastings 67: J'vonne Hadley scored 48 points to lead the Class 3A, No. 8 Zephyrs past the visiting Raiders. Matt Schlottman led the Raiders with 27 points.

Girls' basketball

New Prague 47, Minnetonka 45: Emily Russo led the host Trojans with 24 points and Amanda Giesen had 16. Blake Greer led the Skippers with 18 points and Desiree Ware had 12.

Woodbury 58, Mounds View 52: The Royals built an 16-point halftime lead and held off the host Mustangs in the second half. Solape Amusan led the Royals with 16 points and Carley West had 14. Lindsey Becher led the Mustangs with 18 points and Lizzie Kauls had 13.

Stillwater 72, Cretin-Derham Hall 63: Sara Scalia scored 30 points to lead the Class 4A, No. 3 Ponies past the visiting Raiders. Liza Karlen had 15 points and Grace Cote had 13 for the Ponies. Frannie Hottinger led the Raiders with 33 points and Audrey Martinez-Stewart had 19.
