Fresh from an arresting performance as co-host of the CMA Awards, Reba McEntire announced Monday a concert date at Xcel Energy Center on May 7.

This year, the enduring country queen released her 29th studio album, "Stronger Than the Truth."

Even though she hasn't had a radio hit since 2010, McEntire is a masterful careerist, balancing music and acting stints in movies and television, including appearing as the first female "Colonel Sanders" in 2018 KFC TV commercials.

She last performed in the area in August at Treasure Island Casino's amphitheater in Red Wing. She is currently headlining in Las Vegas with Brooks & Dunn.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster outlets, livenation.com and the Xcel box office. Neither ticket prices nor opening acts have not been announced.

McEntire collected Grammys in 1987 for the song "Whoever's in New England," in 1994 for "Does He Love You" and in 2018 for the best roots gospel album, with "Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope."

That same year, McEntire was recognized in 2018 at the Kennedy Center Honors for her lifetime of achievement to American culture.

Her tour opens March 20 in Evansville, Ind., and tentatively wraps up May 9 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
