'Dorian Gray' with a twist

Collide Theatrical Dance Company takes a feminist twist on Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray." With an all-woman cast and a soundtrack made of pop songs written by women, the production re-imagines Wilde's narcissistic Dorian as a 21st-century social media influencer. Known for using live music to bolster its narrative jazz dance storytelling, Collide has hit a winning strategy in recent years with adaptations of literary classics including "Dracula" and "The Great Gatsby." With "Dorian Gray," choreographer Regina Peluso and director Michael Hanna set their sights on ageism in our beauty-obsessed culture, finding ways to make Wilde's 1890 novel more relevant than ever. Dancer Brittany Keefe stars in the title role. (7:30 p.m. Fri., 2 & 7:30 p.m. Sat., 2 p.m. Sun., 7:30 p.m. April 4. Ends April 7.
