You might recall that three years ago, after Blair Walsh missed a 27-yard field goal for the Vikings in a 10-9 playoff loss to the Seahawks, he visited an elementary school after students there wrote him cards of encouragement.

It became a feel-good story — at least until the middle of the next season, when Walsh's struggles led the Vikings to cut him.

In Chicago, there is no such story playing out.

Bears coach Matt Nagy is not happy that kicker Cody Parkey — whose 43-yard field goal attempt was slightly tipped before hitting the upright and crossbar in Chicago's 16-15 loss to the Eagles — went on "The Today Show" to talk about it.

"I didn't necessarily think that that was too much of a 'we' thing," Nagy told reporters.

If all of Parkey's missed kicks didn't seal his fate in Chicago, that appearance might have made his time with the Bears even shorter than Walsh's with the Vikings.
