Authorities have confirmed that a man's body discovered Thursday in Woodbury is that of a missing 29-year-old, and police have identified three suspects in what they are calling a homicide.

William C. Albrecht, of Minneapolis, was last seen alive early in the day on Nov. 15 at a Bloomington home in the 1500 block of E. 87th Street.

Investigators searched the house Tuesday and found evidence linking the three suspects to Albrecht's disappearance and indicating "trauma that was inflicted on somebody," said Bloomington Deputy Police Chief Mike Hartley.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office on Friday made a positive identification of the body as that of Albrecht.

The body was located about 3 p.m. outdoors in an "open area" southwest of where Interstates 94 and 494 intersect, said Hartley, who declined to describe the condition of the body.

Hartley also declined to say what led authorities to that spot, but he did say one of the men was arrested in Woodbury earlier this week.

Authorities searched this home in Bloomington in connection with homicide victim William Albrecht.

The suspects are a 31-year-old woman and men ages 26 and 32. The woman lives in the home that was searched Tuesday, and the men live in a home in Bloomington that was searched by police the next morning, Hartley said. As far as who played what role in Albrecht's death, the deputy chief said "it's still early on" before that can be determined.

Hartley said "there was a relationship" Albrecht had with at least one of the suspects, but he offered no specifics.

The woman was moved to the Hennepin County jail in downtown Minneapolis early Thursday. The jail log lists her address as being where the search for evidence occurred. The men remained at the Bloomington Police Department jail Thursday.

Charges have yet to be filed against any of the three, Hartley said. The Star Tribune generally does not identify suspects before they are charged.

The search was conducted soon after Minneapolis police opened a missing-persons case in connection with Albrecht's disappearance.

Albrecht graduated from Edina High School in 2008, then in 2013 from a golf instruction and management school in Phoenix. Most recently, he worked at Dick's Last Resort restaurant in the Mall of America. Survivors include twins age 2½.
