Anthony Lonetree

A lifelong music fan, Lonetree wrote the first Replacements stories to be published in a daily newspaper (St. Paul Dispatch) and now makes in-store mixes for a Northeast Minneapolis vintage clothing store -- with top sound sources. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife, son and two dogs. He also has four daughters from an action-packed early life on St. Paul's East Side. He's a Ho-Chunk tribal member.

Before joining the Star Tribune, Lundegaard was a reporter for the Wall Street Journal in Detroit and Atlanta. She started her career with American City Business Journals papers in Cincinnati and then Washington DC. She holds a masters in journalism from Northwestern University and is a graduate of Macalester College. She lives in south Minneapolis with her husband, two sons and a mutt named Dart. After succeeding last year in her quest to see a Roger Federer match, she is now plotting to see Serena Williams play.

Mary Lynn Smith

After graduating with a master's degree in public affairs reporting, the Chicago native moved to Minnesota and fell in love with the outdoors despite being a Girl Scout dropout. Smith became an avid long-distance runner and cross-country skier, keeping her fit so she could backpack in the mountains and paddle the BWCA and Quetico wilderness areas with her husband and three children. Now that her daughters are adults, she gives them the heavier packs.

Mukhtar M. Ibrahim

A Somali native who resettled to Minnesota in 2005, Ibrahim earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in investigative and data journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. In 2016, he was awarded a leadership fellowship from the St. Paul-based Bush Foundation. Ibrahim was a 2018 recipient of Above the Fold award, which honors alumni of the University of Minnesota Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communication under the age of 40 who have made exceptional contributions to their fields.
