Two Minnesotans died Friday in crashes on regional roads.

Joshua C. Anderson, 19, of Gully, Minn., was killed when he was ejected from his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup when it left the roadway at the intersection of 330th Street SE. and 380th Avenue SE. in Gully and rolled, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Anderson, who was alone in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt, and alcohol is believed to have been a factor, authorities said.

Just before noon Friday, a 77-year-old Duluth man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Bloomer, Wis., a small town near Chippewa Falls.

According to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, the man, who was driving north on Hwy. 40, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Hwy. 64.

His car was struck by a semitrailer truck.

The driver, whose name has not been released, died at the scene, authorities said. The semitrailer truck driver was not hurt. No one else was involved in the crash.

Both crashes remain under investigation, authorities said.
